On the ATU and TCU contracts of 2024
Whether Trump or Biden wins in November, this country is in the express lane to hell. Despite having a 5-year (turned 7-year) contract in 2017 on practically the same terms as the current offer, inflflation turned our “raise” into a deep pay cut. Instead, we need:
for the past
- A raise high enough to at least get back what we lost!
for the present
- Not just a QWA but a full Cost of Living Adjustment to protect against future inflation!
for the future
- Maximum leverage—a 3-year contract to end before the Olympics and be in sync with SMART!
Transit workers need to be prepared to fifight back collectively against the attacks of the LA Metro bosses and government, who pit us against each other and make our lives and jobs harder.
